Safety Advice

Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil is 100% pure, is highly concentrated and when used according to the directions, is safe, though some people can find the oil an irritant.  Lemon Myrtle Fragrances Essential Oil is not classified as a dangerous good, however, the way you store, handle and use Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil is very important.

Please read the following advice to help ensure that you use our products safely and effectively.

  • While Lemon Myrtle Fragrances 100% Essential Lemon Myrtle Oil is food grade quality, care should be taken when taking orally.
    • Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil must be diluted to approximately 1% and should not be taken or applied neat
      • 2-3 drops per 1000mL cooking liquid,
      • 1 drop per 1000mL water for drinking.
    • Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil should never be applied undiluted to the skin as it can cause irritation. Follow all recommendations and recipes carefully
  • Store in a cool dark place in the original brown glass bottle
  • Store Lemon Myrtle Fragrances products between 5-30°c
  • For babies and children, before using we recommend performing a small patch test of any of the Lemon Myrtle Fragrances products prior to extensive use.  If irritation occurs, stop using.
